Invertebrate Fossil Field Trip

The Sam Noble Museum invites you to join invertebrate paleontology curator Dr. Steve Westrop for an exciting journey into Oklahoma’s Paleozoic past. Explore life in Oklahoma’s ancient oceans on Friday evening with a close-up look at some of the museum’s finest invertebrate specimens. On Saturday morning, we will depart from the museum at 9 a.m. and travel in university vans to the site where you will find a variety of marine fossils that you can take home. Bring a sack lunch, snacks, comfortable shoes and plenty of water. This field trip is for adults only.

Advance registration is required and space is limited. On-site registration is not available for this program.

Preserving Your Family Heirlooms

Bring in a family heirloom and learn more about the proper care and preservation techniques for your unique treasure. Proper methods for storing textiles, documents, photographs, silver and other keepsakes will be demonstrated. Information will be provided on necessary preservation “tools” and techniques.

Space is limited and advance registration is required. On-site registration is not available for this program.
